Ziyara Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ziyara, developed and published by Sakin, handles information when you use the Ziyara mobile application.

Information Ziyara does not collect

Ziyara does not require you to create an account or sign in.

Ziyara does not collect, transmit, sell or share your personal information. The app does not use analytics, behavioural tracking, advertising services or advertising SDKs.

Ziyara does not intentionally collect sensitive religious information or send information about your religious activity to Ziyara or Sakin servers.

Information stored on your device

To provide its features, Ziyara may store the following information locally on your device:

Your Arabic, transliteration and English display preferences
Your selected text size and Arabic font
Your onboarding status
Your saved position within a guided visit
Any Personal Dua text that you choose to enter

This information remains on your device. It is not uploaded to Ziyara or Sakin servers and is not accessible to the developer.

Personal Dua text remains private on your device unless you independently copy, share or otherwise transfer it outside the app.

Data retention and deletion

Locally stored information remains on your device until you remove it. Depending on the information, you can delete it using Ziyara’s reset and deletion controls, by clearing the app’s storage through your device settings, or by uninstalling Ziyara.

Because Ziyara does not provide user accounts or store personal information on its own servers, there is no server-based account or personal-data record for the developer to delete.

Internet access and external links

Ziyara’s religious reading content is included with the app and does not need to be downloaded from a Ziyara server during normal use.

Internet access may be used by Google Play to install or update the app. Ziyara may also contain optional links to external sources. When you choose to open an external link, it opens in your browser and is governed by the external website’s own privacy policy and practices.

Payments

Purchases and payments for Ziyara are processed by Google Play. Ziyara does not receive or store your card number, bank details or other payment credentials. Google processes payment information according to its own policies.

Children’s privacy

Ziyara is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Ziyara minimises privacy risks by keeping reading preferences, visit progress and Personal Dua content locally on your device and by not operating an account, analytics or advertising system.

The security of locally stored information also depends on the security of your device. You should protect your device using the security features available to you.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if Ziyara’s features or data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are made.
